KHL announced cooperation with the NHL following allegations of violation of the agreement

Earlier, the KHL approved the contract of goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov with CSKA. At the same time, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said that the goalkeeper has valid contractual obligations with Philadelphia, and he does not have the right to play in the KHL.

“If Fedotov plays in the KHL, it will be contrary to his existing contractual obligations with the Flyers,” Daly said.

In response, the KHL noted that “the situation with Ivan Fedotov does not fall under the memorandum, since the player does not have a signed valid contract with the NHL club for the 2023/24 season in the sense that is laid down in the document.”
