“The H&M merchandising they did with my name on it is junk and I didn’t approve of it. Don’t buy it,” the 28-year-old singer said in a post on Instagram.

This range was put on sale “entirely without my permission”, he also claimed.

Contacted by AFP, H&M announced that it had withdrawn the entire range from sale “out of respect” for the artist.

“As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M has followed the appropriate approval procedures,” a spokesperson said in an email.

“But out of respect for the collaboration and Justin Bieber, we have removed the apparel from our stores and online,” he added.

H&M has worked for several years with Justin Bieber for products associating his name or his tours.

The range currently on sale included sweaters, T-shirts, phone accessories and a canvas bag.
