Another murder mystery in the Bergamo area with the victim being a woman, this time very young. Sara Centelleghe, 18, was shot several times when she was killed during the night in her home in Costa Volpino, in the province of Bergamo. The body “had numerous stab and stab wounds on the body”, the Bergamo police report. The 118 rescuers tried to resuscitate the young woman without success. «A series of investigations aimed at gathering clues to identify those responsible are still underway», the investigators point out. At present it is excluded that the murder occurred in the victim’s family context.
The events occurred around one in the morning. The attacker hit her in the house – her mother, who was absent at the time, also lives there – with a kitchen knife and then left the apartment, leaving drops of blood on the landing and on the stairs, where footprints of a bare left foot. According to initial reconstructions, it was not a robbery and, as mentioned, it is ruled out once the murder occurred in the victim’s family context. That evening Sara was at home with a friend, who had gone out to get something to drink. When she returned, she saw the lifeless body and raised the alarm.
The call to 112 reporting the dying young woman to 118 came at 1.18am on 26 October. Medical staff intervened on site and attempted to resuscitate the young woman, without success, having to declare her death. The CC of the Clusone company and the Bergamo investigative unit were on site and carried out the inspection and collection of the crime scene.
