Hisense has opened pre-orders for the PX2-Pro, a laser TV it showcased at CES 2023 in January. In short, the PX2-Pro is a DLP projector that can create images from 90 to 130 inches in 4K (3840 x 2160). According to Hisense, the projector also has a throw ratio of 0.25:1, which means it can throw a 120-inch image when placed regarding 69cm from a projection surface.
At the heart of the PX2-Pro is Hisense’s TriChroma laser engine, a triple array of lasers that the company rates at 25 hours of use. These three lasers would allow the projector to produce 2,400 ANSI lumens while covering 107% of the BT.2020 color space. Incidentally, the PX2-Pro supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content, as well as Dolby Atmos through its 30W speakers.
Hisense adds that the projector’s Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) ensures low latency when gaming over, although it remains at 34.1ms whether you’re gaming at 1080p or 4K. Currently, the PX2-Pro is available for pre-order in Europe and the UK for €2,999 and £2,499, respectively. On the other hand, several retailers offer the same projector in the United States for a price between $2,997.97 and $2,999.99.
