HiSense, the Chinese manufacturer specializing in household appliances and laser projectors, presented at CES 2022, a TV cabinet incorporating a laser projector, a 77-inch screen that unwinds and a sound system the HiSense 77R1.
Image side
The Hisense 77R1 roll-up laser projector features a TriChroma Ultra HD laser projector, a roll-up technical screen and a Harman Kardon audio system. There is very little technical information disclosed on this model. The RGB laser source must provide 100% coverage of ITU-T Rec. 2020 and a good brightness which, together with the technical screen filtering the ambient light, allows the use of this projector almost like a conventional television.
Finally, the most remarkable novelty presented by Hisense is the very first Ultra HD 8K laser TV in the world. Called LX8K, it is therefore capable of displaying a definition of 7680 × 4320 pixels for total immersion in the image. For this, it uses the processor developed in-house Hisense Hi-View Engine which can handle video signals up to Ultra HD 8K at 120 frames per second.
Sound side
The HiSense 77R1 is equipped with a 4.1.2 channel sound system. Finally, this 77R1 cabinet incorporates a sound system from Harman Kardon. It is DTS: X, DTS HD and Dolby Audio compatible.
HiSense 77R1 price and availability
The release of this concentrate of technology is scheduled for 2023. The downside is its price, announced at around € 15,000. Nothing to do with the samsung pocket projector also presented at CES.
