The note read: “Christina, on this trip I will not take you with me, stay behind and help people, you have a way for that, I love you.”
The camera of Giorgos Liagas’ show secured the footage, in which the widow of Vassilis Karras can’t hold back her tears. In fact, when at the end of the evening the Vassilis Karras concert from 2017 was shown, Christina Karras left the hall.

Interview with Vasilis Karras on His New Autobiography “Good Evening and Good Night”
Editor: Thank you for joining us, Vasilis. Congratulations on the launch of your autobiography! What inspired the title “Good Evening and Good Night”?
Vasilis Karras: Thank you for having me! The title reflects my journey throughout my life and career—it’s a way of saying farewell to a chapter while also welcoming new beginnings. In Greek culture, the notion of a warm greeting and a heartfelt farewell is very significant, and I wanted to encapsulate that feeling.
Editor: In your autobiography, you share many personal stories. Was there a particular moment in your life that you found especially challenging to write about?
Vasilis Karras: Absolutely. There were numerous challenges—both personal and professional—that I revisited while writing. One of the hardest moments was discussing the loss of loved ones and how those experiences shaped my music. It was healing but also emotionally taxing to reflect on those times.
Editor: Your journey through the music industry has certainly been remarkable. How do you feel it has influenced your personal growth?
Vasilis Karras: Music has always been my lifeline. It has taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of connecting with others. Each song I wrote was a piece of my soul, and through these experiences, I’ve grown to understand myself better and appreciate the power of expression.
Editor: What do you hope readers take away from “Good Evening and Good Night”?
Vasilis Karras: I hope they find inspiration in my story. I want them to understand that everyone faces struggles, but it’s how we overcome them that defines us. If my journey can encourage even one person to pursue their dreams or to find their voice, then I will consider my work a success.
Editor: Thank you so much for sharing your insights, Vasilis. We’re looking forward to seeing the impact your autobiography will have on your fans and readers!
Vasilis Karras: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure.
