His sister Janet pulls out an old photo from the archives for a very special occasion

Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 at the age of 50, in his mansion in Holmby Hills (Los Angeles), following a cardiac arrest. An autopsy had revealed that his death was due to an overdose of anesthetics administered by his doctor, Conrad Murray. He had also been sentenced to four years in prison for manslaughter.

Saturday June 25 marked the 13th anniversary of the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson. On this occasion, Janet Jackson shared a photo with the latter. The interpreter of That’s the Way Love Goes captioned his post simply with a white heart emoji. Over the years, Janet has never ceased to honor her big brother and will be sure to send another message on what should have been his 64th birthday.

The one who gleaned 15 Grammy Awards admitted to having forged a complicated relationship with one of the greatest artists of all time.
In her docuseries, the star explained that she and Michael were extremely close as children, but began to drift apart over the next few years. “We were close, Randy, myself and Mike – we were like the three amigos – the three sidekicks”she recalled. “There were times when Mike teased and insulted me: ‘Pork, horse, butcher’s pig, cow'”said Janet. “He was laughing regarding it and I was laughing too, but there was somewhere inside that it hurt”she confessed, explaining that “When someone says you’re too fat, it affects you.”
