A young woman is indignant at having had to pay an extra 10% at the restaurant for a “musical performance” she didn’t even know regarding.
TikTokker Lisa Sun opened up regarding this unusual expense in a video posted on the platform.
The young woman recounts having gone with her husband to a restaurant in the Darlinghurst district, in downtown Sydney, reports the New York Post.
“David and I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago…and they charged us an extra 10%,” Ms. Sun explained.
The supplement was justified by the mention “large group”, which disconcerted the young woman, since she was accompanied only by her spouse.
“When I wanted to pay, I wondered if it was because there were two of us. You wouldn’t have charged us this supplement if I had come alone?
Ms. Sun then claimed that the restaurant employee told her that the supplement was more for “musical performance”, which dumbfounded her.
“How do you feel regarding having to pay extra for live music that you didn’t ask for and weren’t aware of before you went to dinner?
While Ms. Sun admitted paying the bill, she explained that she had doubts regarding the payment and the legitimacy of the expense.
