The specialist said that Cecilia was the victim of an episode of gender violence by her husband, César Sena. This was told to him by the victim herself. In addition, she assured that the couple conflicts they had were linked to her mother-in-law, Marcela Acuña, one of those prosecuted for the crime along with her husband, Emerenciano Sena, judicial sources indicated.

Romero gave a statement before the Special Prosecutor Team (EFE), which is carrying out the case for the femicide of the young woman and is made up of Jorge Cáceres Olivera, Jorge Gómez and Nelia Velázquez, who began caring for the patient on February 3, 2023. and that following four sessions the treatment was suspended until May, when they had three meetings prior to the disappearance of their patient, the last of them on the 30th of that month.

According to his testimony, in May Cecilia told him that she wanted to resume treatment because “something had happened with her mother-in-law” and at the same time because she had “conflicts with her partner”, in which “Acuña was included”, detailed from Télam .

On another occasion, Cecilia told her that she had taken an appointment to attend couples therapy, in addition to telling that César had started going to a psychiatrist and was on medication.

Finally, regarding the last session they had, the therapist recounted that Cecilia told her that things were “so far with her partner”, that for “two weeks he had felt a bit strange, rather nervous and anxious” and that He felt that César “had full control of the relationship”, since he had decided “a trip to Ushuaia” for both of them, which “was an offer” from his mother.

“My mother-in-law offered us a trip to Ushuaia,” Cecilia told him, who questioned that he never asked her if she wanted to make the trip or not.

About that trip, the professional said that Cecilia was “anxious” regarding not knowing exactly what it was like, that “she wanted to know so she might decide if she was going to want to go or not” and that she was going to carry out a prior “reconnaissance” to determine if they were leaving. to go to live in Ushuaia or not, although he did not specify the date and even agreed to have a fourth session the following week, on June 6.

Cecilia referred to spending “too much” time with her partner and “depending financially on them”, when mentioning the teaching position that César’s family would have offered her.

However, she mentioned that she “did not have much of a relationship” with her husband’s family environment and that “she was not accepted” by César’s family.”
