The young Syrian, Naji Taha, who arrived in Sweden fleeing the hell of war in his country, did not expect to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
Nor did he expect that a challenge on the Tik Tok application, in a fun moment with friends, would turn his life into hell when he was 18 years old.
The young man today enters his 21st year, moving in a wheelchair as a result of a skull injury he suffered years ago. He was admitted to the hospital for many months, because of a harmful dance that his friends challenged him to perform through the Tik Tok application, only to get out of it, losing the most precious thing a person has, which is his ability to walk.
He added that his friends deceived him, and he fell to the ground in pain, an injury from which he might not even scream.
After 3 years, Naji became dependent on a wheelchair to get around, he explained in a statement to the newspaper Gothenburg Post The local Swede, all with tears of regret in his eyes, said that his dream of becoming a footballer was dashed following his injury.
It is noteworthy that, amid the great impact of social media on our daily lives, the spread of catastrophic challenges on applications, especially TikTok, has become commonplace.
However, the danger of many of them prompts specialists to issue warnings in order to avoid them, especially since some of them may lead to death or something close to it, as happened with the Syrian youth in this tragedy.
