His Majesty the King performs Eid al-Fitr prayers and accepts congratulations on this happy occasion

Today, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, His Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed and His Highness Prince Moulay Ismail, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer in the mosque. Al-Mohammadi in Casablanca, and His Majesty accepts congratulations on this happy occasion.

His Majesty’s convoy set off from the Royal Palace in Casablanca towards the Mohammedi Mosque, amid crowds of male and female citizens, who came to express their congratulations to the Commander of the Faithful on this joyful occasion and to share with His Majesty the joy of this blessed, happy day that culminates the month of fasting and prayers.

Upon his arrival at the mosque, His Majesty the King reviewed a group of the Royal Guard who saluted His Majesty.

After performing the prayer, the preacher stressed in his two Eid sermons that the month of Ramadan is a great month in which fasting is accomplished in obedience to God and prayers in response to His command, in which believers spend their happiest times reciting the words of God and conversing with the Creator, and in that they find the pleasure of being intimate with God and tasting the sweetness of faith, adding that the day of Eid is The day of reward and the day of joy in obeying God and being close to Him, Glory be to Him.

In this context, he highlighted that acts of worship have secrets, purposes, and goals that one must be careful to achieve, explaining that the prayer that God has commanded is not merely words uttered by the tongue and movements performed by the limbs without contemplation or reverence, but rather it is the one in which the worshiper recalls the greatness of the deity and his limbs are humbled at the remembrance of God. It affected his behavior.

Al-Khatib added that the month of Ramadan is sufficient to change the course of a believer’s life, make an impact in his life, strengthen his faith, and make him remember God’s oversight over him.

In conclusion, Al-Khatib prayed to God Almighty to protect the Commander of the Faithful, direct his steps for the good of his loyal people, and grant him a mighty victory, and to grant his eye to his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, and to support His Majesty with his brother, His Royal Highness, Prince Moulay Rachid, and with the rest of the members of the royal family. The honorable one.

Al-Khatib also prayed to the Almighty that Shabib shower his mercy and contentment on their late Majesties Mohammed V and Hassan II, honor their resting place, and dwell them in His spacious paradise.

Subsequently, His Majesty the King left the mosque and returned to the Royal Palace amidst the cheers of male and female citizens who had made the pilgrimage in droves, on this most important day, to express their sincere wishes for the good health and well-being of His Majesty the King and to reaffirm their close connection to the person of His Majesty and to the glorious Alawite throne, while artillery shots rang out in expression.
