Glenn Gordon Caron, producer and friend of Bruce Willis, reacted to the media People as he visits the actor every month.
“I’m not always good enough but I try. I talk to him and his wife [Emma Heming Willis] and I occasionally meet his three other children”specifies the creator of Moonlightning.
“What blows my mind is that if you ever spent time with Bruce Willis, you know that there was no one who had more zest for life than him, he continues. He loved life and just loved waking up every morning and trying to live life as fully as possible.”
Although he still recognizes him when he visits him, Glenn Gordon Caron explains that Bruce Willis now has great difficulty speaking. “His language skills are no longer accessible to him, and yet he is still Bruce [Willis].”
And to add: “When you’re with him, you know it’s Bruce and you’re grateful he’s there. But the joy of life is gone.”
Last month, his wife Emma said on “The Today Show” that she wasn’t sure her husband was aware of his condition. “What I’m learning is that dementia is hard, she explained. It’s hard for the person who is diagnosed. It’s also hard for the family. And it makes no difference to Bruce, me or our daughters. When they say it’s a family illness, it’s absolutely that.”
