The British newspaper “Daily Mail” claimed that Jose Mourinho has decided to give up the technical management of Roma at the end of the current 2022-2023 season.
Mourinho has been leading the Italian team since July 2021, when he was able to win with him the first edition of the European Conference League.
However, the Portuguese coach feels “frustrated” in Rome because of the “lack of financial support for the team”, especially for the competition for the Italian league title.
The capital team is currently ranked fifth in the competition standings table, with 13 points shifting between it and Napoli, which holds the lead.
“The ideal scenario for Mourinho would be a third, out of the ordinary experience with Chelsea,” the Daily Mail claims.
The 60-year-old previously coached the London team between 2004 and 2007, and once more between 2013 and 2015, when he won the English Premier League with him on 3 occasions.
The newspaper said Mourinho’s agent had already notified Chelsea of his client’s interest in any opportunity to work at Stamford Bridge following the end of the current season.
And the “Daily Mail” indicated at the conclusion of its report that the wife of “The Special One” and his children still live in the British capital.
