Dulou Case: Ksobbing Michelle Trokonis heard jurors find her guilty of all charges related to the May 2019 disappearance of Jennifer Dulos

Nearly five years after Jennifer Dulos mysteriously disappeared from Connecticut, her husband’s ex-girlfriend was found guilty Friday of conspiracy to kill the mother of five.

Michelle Krokonis, who sobbed as she heard the verdict, was also found guilty of obstruction of justice, two counts of conspiracy to tamper with physical evidence and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Six jurors heard two hours of arguments from both the prosecutor and the state-appointed defense attorney for the defendant in a courtroom in Stamford Superior Court before reaching their verdict.

The news that expatriate millionaire Fotis Doulos committed suicide was a twist that the authorities and the relatives of his wife, Jennifer, did not expect, who are seeking justice for her disappearance and, apparently, her brutal murder.

The news that Fotis Doulos is dead was denied by his lawyer Norm Patis, who told local media that the real estate agent of Greek origin was taken to the hospital with a weak pulse, but is alive and in critical condition.

The expatriate was arrested earlier this month for the murder of his ex-wife and mother of their five children, who has been missing since last month. The businessman, who had been released on bail and placed under house arrest, was found in his car, where he had been poisoned after inhaling carbon monoxide.

A disappearance that (probably) is murder!

“Those who know Jennifer know that she is a devoted mother, an extremely intelligent, reliable and organizational woman,” her relatives told the international media, trying to explain that Dulu’s wife would not leave the children to run away just like that.

A few hours after she was reported missing, a police officer spotted her car (a 2017 black Chevrolet Suburban) parked on Lapham Road near Waveny Park.

The missing woman was separated from her husband of 13 years, while in 2017 she had filed for divorce. Since then, according to the American newspaper “Stamford Advocate”, a huge dispute began between them regarding the custody of their five children.

Michelle Trokonis: The fatal “mistress” in the case of the disappearance of Jennifer Dulou

In fact, as reported by the American media, in the divorce petition, the 50-year-old woman stated that she was afraid of her husband and believed that “he would somehow harm her” because she was asking for a divorce.

In this regard, it is worth noting that just a few days after filing for divorce, the Greek businessman, Fotis Doulos, had handed over a weapon to the Police.

Jennifer’s mother is suing her son-in-law (she’s actually suing him), saying he killed her daughter because she had asked him for a divorce and he was taking advantage of her and his new partner.

Fotis Doulos has recently been in a relationship with Argentine-born Michelle Troconis Arreaza, 42, a former presenter and producer on Argentina’s ESPN channel.

Michelle, who has a daughter, worked in recent years at Dulu’s company and appears to have played a key role in the divorce, as Jennifer stated in the divorce petition that their relationship had begun while he was still married. Immediately after filing for divorce, Trokonis moved into the mansion in Farmington, where Jennifer and the children had just moved out.

It is also important to know that the hearing for the divorce case was scheduled for May 22, two days before Jennifer’s disappearance, but never took place, as it was postponed.

Jennifer Dulos’ body has not been found – Blood in house and car

Fotis Doulos had returned home on the evening of Thursday, January 9, 2020, a few hours after he and his partner Michelle were sentenced on bail, having been found guilty of murdering his wife, Jennifer. He had arrived at his ultra-luxurious home in Connecticut, accompanied by two police officers.

The 52-year-old returned home after posting $6 million bail. Videos that emerged showed the businessman in handcuffs walking out of the Connecticut Police Department building.

The businessman’s partner was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, as was the businessman’s lawyer and close friend, Ken Maweeney.

According to the arrest warrant, as reported by CNN, Mulwney had access to a private shooting club, where a shallow grave, a plastic cover and bags of lime were found by hunters shortly before the disappearance.

Police have also found traces of Jennifer’s blood in their home, in the car, and on duct tape that he probably tied her up with before or after the murder. Jennifer Dulos’ body has not been found. And as he himself says, “without a corpse, there is no murder”.

Fotis Doulos: Harvard graduate, keen skier, with great communication skills

Fotis Doulos was born in 1968 in Turkey, as he states on his Facebook page, and grew up in Greece. Most people remember him from the 80s and 90s, his presence did not go unnoticed in the southern suburbs of Athens where he frequented. Charming, athletic, he immediately attracted attention. Together with his cousins, Maria Christina and Mattheos (Matheos to his friends), he was one of the “cool” kids of the time – kids who stood out for their good manners at the same time.

Doulos began his studies in 1975 at Athens College, graduating in 1986. This was followed by studies in the US, a summer at Harvard majoring in Economics, a BA in Applied Mathematics and Economics at Brown University in Rhode Island in 1989, and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in 1997.

For Fotis Doulos, it is stated on the website of his company, Fore Group: Fotis Doulos distinguished himself as a leading contractor in the Farmington Valley. Fotis, who also holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, has developed a reputation based on integrity, hard work, great communication skills and the amazing homes he builds.

Fotis lives in Farmington, Connecticut with his five children, Petros, Theodoros, Christiana, Konstantinos and Clea-Noel. Fotis also enjoys competitive water skiing, winter skiing, architecture, reading, flying and playing Lego with his children.

At Brown University he met Jennifer Farber, a year younger than him

A native of New York, Jennifer studied creative writing at Brown and graduated in 1990. Her mother, Gloria Farber, is a well-known philanthropist, while her father, Hilliard Farber, is a well-known banker. A vice chairman of Chase Manhattan Bank and with his own brokerage firm, Hilliard Farber & Co., he died in January 2017.

According to Patch.com, Jennifer Dulu is a journalist and author in New York. In 2004, she married Fotis, who founded the construction company Fore Group Inc. in Connecticut.

The company, which built luxury homes in the Farmington Valley and Fairfield County areas, was financed, according to Jennifer’s statements, by her father. Very soon Fotis Doulos distinguished himself for his hard work and his communication skills.

He came to Greece very often not only to see his family, but also to practice his favorite sport, water skiing, with the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club team.

All three of his five children compete in the same team, constantly winning medals. But – according to an Insider report – in the divorce petition filed by Jennifer, she claims that skiing had become his obsession and he insisted on training his children hard, in order to become world champions. She claimed that their one son developed psychological problems from the pressure, as the training was hard and grueling, sometimes lasting up to 11 hours a day.

When the kids said they wanted to stop skiing, according to Jennifer, he became extremely violent. He grabbed the skis and smashed them against a rock. Jennifer Dulou testified that Fotis threatened her that he would take their five children and “disappear” in Greece or some other country. “You will never find us” he told her. The businessman insists that he is innocent, while Jennifer remains missing.
