Yuki Tsunoda (Scuderia AlphaTauri) lost his position during the safety car at the end of the 2022 F1 Brazilian GP without being instructed to unwrap.
Land Norris (McLaren) stopped on the track on the 50th lap, and the safety car was introduced following the virtual safety car.
Yuki Tsunoda, who was running in 15th place, was the only car No. 22 to receive an unlap instruction from race control. He dropped to the bottom and finished the race in 17th place, one lap behind.
Yuki Tsunoda said, “Normally, I can unlap under the safety car, but today I was told to stay in my position, so I didn’t have a chance to move forward, and I was one full lap behind the group. I’m going to finish it,” I’m confused.
