Several changes occurred in the Government, Francisco Torrealba assumed the Labor portfolio, by José Ramón Rivero.
Juan Arias lasted just a few weeks as Minister of Industries and National Production, since this Monday, May 16, Hipólito Abreu was appointed in charge of the portfolio.
The announcement was made by Nicolás Maduro during a meeting with the high government and the vice presidents in the Miraflores Palace, which was broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.
Abreu came from being in the Ministry of Transport and now assumes Industry and National Production. “I’m in charge of the CVG (Corporación Venezolana de Guayana),” the first national president launched in his speech. “Especially now that new investments are coming,” he added.
Abreu will be together with Tareck El Aissami, Maduro indicated and asked to put all the companies in the country into production.
Another change was in the Social Labor Process, since Francisco Torrealba is the new minister instead of José Ramón Rivero, who was in the last year.
To replace Abreu in Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, who is the president of Conviasa, was appointed.
Meanwhile, Carlos Farías is the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and replaces Félix Plasencia in the Foreign Ministry. He comes from being as ambassador of Russia in recent years.
Maduro pointed out that Plasencia will take other directions that will be announced soon.
While the other officials thanked them for their work.

Before revealing the changes in the ministries, Maduro pointed out that since he made the announcement of the sale of shares of state companies, “hundreds” of investors have shown interest in acquiring them.
He also said that this May 20, he will activate the 1×10 of good government that will be linked to the Concrete Agenda for Action.
