Hilton, a global leader in the hospitality industry, is poised to enhance its footprint in Italy through the recent signing of agreements for two new hotels: the DoubleTree by Hilton Naples Oriente and the Hampton by Hilton Rome St Peter’s, contributing to the rich tapestry of hotel options for both leisure and business travelers.

Both establishments are on track to commence operations next year and will function under franchise agreements. The DoubleTree in Naples will be managed by Italyhotelmanagement Srl, while the Hampton by Hilton Rome St Peter’s will operate under the expertise of F.G.N Horn Srl.

The Hampton by Hilton Rome St Peter’s is particularly noteworthy as it will be Hilton’s inaugural property in central Rome. This 124-room hotel is strategically situated near Via Gregorio VII, offering easy access to the iconic Vatican City, and is set to open its doors next March, just in time for an influx of visitors during the tourist season.

Furthermore, the 112-room DoubleTree by Hilton Naples Oriente will proudly represent the brand’s first venture into the city. This full-service hotel will boast a range of outstanding amenities, including a state-of-the-art gym, an all-day dining restaurant, a scenic rooftop area, and well-equipped meeting rooms to cater to business guests in the bustling region.

Guests staying at these hotels will also benefit from the Hilton Honors programme, allowing them to earn rewards points as part of a loyalty scheme that connects over 200 million members around the globe.

The upcoming additions will enhance Hilton’s Italian portfolio, which currently comprises an impressive total of 99 hotels, either operational or in development. This includes recent openings, such as the Anglo American Hotel Florence, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, and the Hilton Garden Inn Milan Malpensa, reflecting Hilton’s robust growth strategy in the Italian market.

Alan Mantin, Hilton’s development vice president for Southern Europe, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing expansion, stating: “We continue to experience significant growth across Italy—with more than 2,000 rooms in our pipeline—and are pleased to announce two additional signings across our full and focused service brands,” further underlining the transformative role of hospitality in bolstering the economy.

“With nearly 60 million visitors to Italy in 2023, we are excited to offer travelers further accommodation options in the vibrant cities of Rome and Naples with DoubleTree by Hilton Naples Oriente and Hampton by Hilton Rome St Peter’s,” he added, emphasizing the importance of strategic location in attracting tourists.

Additionally, last year, Hilton unveiled plans for Italy’s premier LXR Hotels & Resorts property, the Grand Hotel Gardone Lake Garda, which is anticipated to grace the hospitality landscape in 2026, signaling Hilton’s commitment to delivering luxury experiences in prime locations.
