The Indonesian Young Generation of Reformers (Gempar) DPP has appointed 3 new Deputy Chairmen ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections. The three figures who will serve are Indonesian House of Representatives Member Hillary Brigitta Lasut, Business Law Professor Ariawan Gunadi, and Ronald Tampubolon. They will serve until 2026.
The General Chairperson of the DPP Gempar Indonesia Yohanes Sirait said that this step was taken as an organizational refreshment. The addition of strength is also an effort to realize the vision and mission of Gempar.
“This is an organizational refreshment in the middle of the management period, considering that Gempar wants to encourage more young people to care and get involved in national issues. The big theme carried by Gempar has been from the beginning, towards Indonesia Emas 2045, where the young generation must start taking part now,” Yohanes said in Jakarta, Wednesday (10/7).
According to Yohanes, Hillary’s presence as the youngest member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019 period and currently being re-elected as the female member of the Indonesian House of Representatives with the most national votes is a special note for Gempar cadres.
“Hillary’s character is in line with what we are promoting, and Hillary also has the same vision for the young generation of Indonesia in the future,” he added.
Meanwhile, DPP Gempar Secretary General Petrus Sihombing added that his organization is a common forum for Christian and Catholic youth throughout Indonesia. With Hillary’s entry, it might be a unique experience for Gempar cadres throughout Indonesia regardless of their political party.

On this occasion, Hillary expressed her pleasure in joining Gempar. She stated that she would work optimally to run the organization.
“It is an honor to join Gempar, and to be given the opportunity to carry out organizational and service duties together,” said Hillary.
“Connecting with the best people in their fields is a benefit of joining Gempar. I will try to carry out my duties as best as I can, and together, magnify the Name of God through Gempar,” Hillary concluded. (Z-8)
