The controversy between NS Madhavan and film director Hemant G. Nair over the name Higuita has reached a new level. NS Madhavan responded that he was assured by the Film Chamber that he would not be allowed to register the film in the name of Higuita. But director Hemant G. Nair’s response is that he has not received any notification and is not thinking of changing the name of the film now. Filmchamber clarified that the decision regarding the name of the film will be made on Tuesday. The FEFCA Writers’ Union, which supported the film, clarified that personal names cannot be copyrighted
