Two heavy goods vehicles collided on the A36, at Diefmatten, in the Belfort-Mulhouse direction, this Friday morning June 23 around 5:15 a.m.
A 58-year-old man, out of his own means, slightly injured, was taken to hospital by firefighters.
400 liters of diesel
The two vehicles, a refrigerated truck and a 38-ton truck from a motorway company, ended up across the tracks, making traffic impossible. In addition, the impact caused the dispersion of 400 liters of diesel on the road.
Traffic was severely disrupted while the emergency services intervened and the roadway was cleaned. Traffic has been diverted, many motorists have therefore taken the RD 483 and RD 32V, which respectively connect Soppe-le-Bas and Diefmatten to Burnhaupt-le-Haut, also causing significant traffic difficulties on these axes.
At 8 a.m., the traffic jam on the highway was over 8 km.
