On Saturday, a man who was in one of the shops at Guillemins station had his backpack stolen. Once he realized the theft, the man went to the police to file a complaint. If the thieves had taken to their heels, the images from the surveillance cameras made it possible to put faces on the tape of the four thieves in question.
Then, the next day, luck interfered somewhat with the case since the agent who had viewed the images of the day before was back on duty and quickly spotted the gang of thieves who were once once more in the station. .
Bone tests
The alert was immediately given and the suspects were arrested when they had just committed another backpack theft. Said bag and its contents were given to the victim who had just become aware of the theft.
The four suspects were searched and some of the loot from the previous day was found on them. Thus, one of the protagonists was in possession of the camera of the victim of Saturday’s theft. The photos stored there also left little doubt as to the legitimate owner of the device.
The four alleged thieves were therefore deprived of their liberty. Two are adults, the other two pretending to be minors. All are in a situation of illegal residence. If adults are already expected at the courthouse, this Monday morning, the two alleged minors headed to the hospital to undergo bone tests which will determine their real age.
