Highlights of Heitere Open Air 2023: Adel Tawil, Soolking, Kunz, and more!

The Berlin singer Adel Tawil sang at the end of another very successful Heitere Open Air in front of a full audience on Sunday evening.

On the afternoon of Heitere Sunday, Kunz made the Lindenbühne tremble after Seven opened the festival day with his Sunday Brunch. Soolking later introduced North African hip-hop to the audience before Adel Tawil closed the Heitere Open Air 2023. The ZT reports live on site.

The loyal Heitere visitors probably go to the Lindenbühne with mixed feelings, where Adel Tawil’s performance awaits them. The anticipation for the German pop singer is coupled with the awareness that the last act of the Heitere Open Air 2023 is waiting for them. With his authentic and cordial nature, Adel Tawil has no trouble winning people’s sympathies quickly. Unlike some other artists, he doesn’t need to sulk about “the best audience in the world.” But he dutifully thanks the Swiss because he received a platinum award in this country with the song “Tu m’appelles”. “You’re streaming the song like crazy!”

In the last 75 minutes of this year’s Heitere, Adel Tawil presents the well-known songs from his former band project Ich + Ich. With the song “So it should stay”, Adel Tawil mingled with the audience and hugged the cheerful people. On the other hand, the pearls of his even more successful solo career are not neglected, such as “Is there someone?” and “songs”. In the latter song, the Heitere audience sang more fervently than ever before in the three days. With whom song “From the same star” Adel Tawil ends his performance and the Heitere Open Air 2023 at 8:42 p.m.

Soolking raps North African style

As if the Heitere Open Air wasn’t already diverse enough, Soolking is now bringing North African hip-hop with some slight reggae influences to the Lindenbühne. The Algerian’s rap skills are excellent, and the artistic performances of his dancers are breathtaking at the end. Soolking keeps conversation with the audience to a minimum. Apart from “Put your hands up” and “Move your body”, he doesn’t speak much, but simply unwinds his songs.

Soolking’s performance definitely has its place in the Heitere. However, the question arises as to whether it would not have been better off on Friday evening on the park stage to warm up the mood than in the otherwise more family-oriented Sunday program. Only about 30 people, right in the front part of the audience, celebrate Soolking. You are probably mainly because of him here today . Most of the other viewers only get a little in the mood during the more well-known song “Suavamente”. Soolking also plays him twice. “It’s a bit pathetic when you have to play a song twice,” says one viewer. It also seems as if Soolking has lost some of its audience over the course of its performance.

Kunz reaches the fans on the Heitern and beyond

Although the lyrics are “I’d rather be on the beach”, Kunz had to admit “Wott would it be a beach goh, we me cha do si ufem Heitere?” Despite the around 30 degrees, a huge crowd fills Lindenplatz when Kunz appears with a confetti bang on Sunday afternoon.

“Ehr send denn Herti”, he praises his fans, who, like him, can withstand the heat. But that’s not all, because Kunz can also persuade his audience, who is mostly standing in the sun, to dance. A few simple dance steps are enough to get the crowd dancing and spinning on the Heitern.

With his song “Seisch e Gruess” Kunz encourages his fans to share his concert by phone with people who can’t be there today. Kunz even says “Greetings” into the cell phone of a fan in the crowd. But the Lucerne singer also stays close to his fans on the Lindengeviert itself and spreads “LIEBI” in the crowd while he sings the song of the same name.

This love also resonates with the audience. For example, with Sarah Lindemann and Daniela Geissbühler, for whom the Kunz concert is one of the reasons why they visit the Heitere Open Air. Despite the warmth, they describe the concert as “super” and with a smile on their face.

From audience favorites to new music

At the beginning of his concert, Kunz announces that the crowd will have to help him if he forgets his text in between. While this happens hesitantly at the beginning, he is able to persuade everyone to sing with his hit “Chliini Hands” and his ode to the “Vierwaldstättersee”. But even with his latest song “Sing Sing”, some fans are already sure of the lyrics.

Melanie Oesch even gets Seven to yodel

“What getts nicer than e goode brunch amene nice Sunnti?”, With this announcement, Seven welcomes the Heitere audience at the first concert, the Seven Sunday Brunch, on Sunday morning. For his Sunday brunch, the musician and presenter Seven invites various musician friends to his stage to make music with them in a cozy atmosphere.

As befits a good brunch, the Seven Sunday Brunch offers a varied selection for all tastes. Those who like it traditional can enjoy the performance of Melanie Ösch, who can even encourage Seven to yodel. The romantics don’t miss out either, as Seven and his longtime good friend Gregor Meyle perform a wedding ballad together. And there is also female power on stage. Seven makes music together with the Slovenian singer Amaya, whom he met during an intensive songwriting phase in Sweden. Sina also welcomes Seven on his stage. Without further ado, she gives him a little lesson in Valais German.

friendship and praise

In keeping with the brunch motto of the Sevens Show, anecdotes about friendships should not be missing. Seven doesn’t hesitate to bring up old stories of first acquaintances and shared experiences as soon as a new guest appears on his stage. In return, however, the appreciation of his guests can also be felt, all of whom praise Seven and his band for the concept of the Sunday brunch.
