The Cairo Drama Festival, headed by the great artist Yehia El-Fakharani, in its second and exceptional session, will host the first edition of the Starscrapers Awards celebration, which will be held in the North Square Mall in the new city of El Alamein, under the title “60 Years of Drama” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the production and broadcast of the first Egyptian drama. The second edition of the festival comes with some differences from the first edition held last year.
The second edition of the Cairo Drama Festival witnesses some developments from the first session, as it includes all the series that were presented throughout the year, and not only during the Ramadan season, in addition to introducing awards in the name of the audience, in addition to the main awards chosen by the jury, which includes director Gamal Abdel Hamid, Its membership includes the star Karim Abdel Aziz, the star Elham Shaheen, the critic Tariq El Shennawy, and the writer Abdel Rahim Kamal.
The organizers of the Cairo Drama Festival, in its second session, allowed the audience to participate in choosing 8 awards related to actors and works. Second, Best Rising Face, Best Dramatic Author Award.
The organization of the second session comes from Cairo Drama Festival Within the framework of the United Media Services Company – the strategic partner of the festival – in cooperation with the Syndicate of Dramatic Professions and the Council Masters Company, which is responsible for operating the largest commercial project in New Alamein (North Square Mall) – to stimulate creativity and develop the artistic production industry, and to enhance the role of enlightening drama in shaping society’s awareness of the most prominent issues and the promotion of human values, in addition to honoring the best artists for their work during the 2023 season.
