Rosalía, Tom Odell or Hecht are just some of the highlights at this year’s Gurten Festival. SRF 3 is there and reports on the radio, on social media and online.
Whether bass-intensive hip-hop, hard rock’n’roll or melancholic pop – everything is represented at the SRF 3 Festival Summer 2023. SRF 3 accompanies several Swiss festivals this summer and brings them straight to your living room, balcony or bathroom. We are currently reporting from Wednesday, July 12th to Sunday, July 16th from the Gurten Festival.

Sigrist is music editor at the radio station SRF 3. He looks online in his Music blog on, under and behind current music topics and their background noise.
Wednesday: With an inflatable tank, big hits and an extremely cheap and outdated erotic show, which was bursting with machismo, J. Balvin thrilled the belt audience. Somehow fascinating (or rather alarming?) How heated social discussions, among other things, regarding role models in festival operations can be largely ignored.
Thursday: The long-awaited performance of Catalan pop goddess Rosalía swept everything away. With her motorized Reggaeton-Flamenco-Trap-Pop, her powerful voice that can hardly be surpassed in terms of virtuosity, she spit out a performance bursting with perfection. The fact that even the breaks threatened to burst with energy complemented the performance with the indescribability of great pop moments.

This year, the Gurten Festival lasts five days for the first time in history, because the 40th edition is being celebrated. The Sunday is there as an addition, so to speak, with the Toten Hosen and “SRF 3 Best Talent” winner of the year 2023 Andryy performing his dialect songs.
