Highland students are happy to receive milk from the Vi Talent Development Fund

Accordingly, more than 1,000 cartons of milk with a total value of 403 million VND were hand delivered by Mr Bau’s Vietnamese Talent Development Fund in collaboration with the school’s leadership to students aged 16-18 years old. at school. This is the next meaningful activity carried out by the Vietnam Talent Development Fund on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the launch of Ong Bau Coffee brand.

Established in 2020 on the basis of upgrading from Thai Nguyen Law School, Northern Law College in Thai Nguyen currently has 500 students and students enrolled, of which, 98% of the students come from different countries. Northwestern province and are ethnic minorities such as H’Mong, Dao, Tay, etc. All of the children are from disadvantaged families and most of them have below-average health status.

The school’s leadership said that because of the limited funding, the children’s diet and nutrition did not really meet the body’s needs, each meal had enough rice, but fish and meat were still limited.

In order to help students of the Northern Law College in Thai Nguyen to supplement nutrition, improve health and physical condition to focus on studying, the Viet Talent Development Fund has donated more than 1,000 cartons of milk to them. The entire value of the gift is deducted from the contribution of Ong Bau Coffee customers to the Fund through the program of deducting 1,000 VND per drink sold at the restaurant system.

Happy to hold a milk carton in her hand, Ha Thi Thao (17 years old, Nung ethnic, from Cao Bang) who is currently studying in grade 12 at the school said: “I love drinking milk, but at home I don’t drink much. I only drink once or twice a year. I am very grateful to the Vietnamese Talent Development Fund for sponsoring us to drink milk. Now, every time I study late at night, me and my friends no longer worry regarding being hungry.”

Dr. Hoang Xuan Chau – Rector of the Northern Law College in Thai Nguyen also shared: “As a teacher, I feel heartbroken when I see that the children – the generation representing the youth of the country, have a thin body, short stature, do not meet the requirements of study well. Although we have tried our best to support both in learning and daily activities, nutrition still cannot bring the best for children, especially when they are in their growing age. large, need nutrients and energy for optimal growth”.
