An official security source confirmed that the number of victims of a two-car collision on Al-Wahat Road, on Friday evening, has risen.
The source said, in statements to Masrawy, that the death toll rose to 7 deaths and 11 injured, with 7 injured to Sheikh Zayed Specialist Hospital and 4 injured to October 6 Central Hospital.
The first images showed the smashing of the affected cars as a result of the accident, amid the deployment of police and traffic departments to avoid the effects of the accident on the road and normalize traffic.
The beginning goes back to the director of the October Sector receiving a signal from the Rescue Police Department that a collision had occurred and there were victims among the dead and injured on the aforementioned road.
The security and traffic services moved to the place of the communication, and it was found that a microbus collided with another “double cabin” carrying workers near a gas station, regarding 20 kilometers away, killing 7 people and injuring 11 others.
The injured were transferred to October Central and Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospitals, and the bodies were deposited in the refrigerator of Bahariya Oasis Hospital at the disposal of the Public Prosecution for burial permission.
