Several weapons were also found on a farm.
The Armed Forces of Ecuador, in coordination with the National Police, reported the capture of two “terrorists”, considered “high-value ringleaders”, during an operation carried out in the early hours of this Saturday in the city of Esmeraldas, in the north of the country.
One of them is Sebastián M., alias ‘La S’, who “ordered violent deaths through hitmen,” and the other is alias ‘La A’ and identified as Angelo L., the second in command of a criminal group.
At the scene, among other material, a wad of dynamite was seized, the Police said in a statement.
Both would belong to the Gangsters, a criminal gang included in the decree signed this week by the president, Daniel Noboa, which declares several criminal groups “terrorist organizations and belligerent non-state actors.”

In a simultaneous raid on a property used as a “firearms collection center,” alias ‘Chuky’, a member of another of the groups considered terrorists in the country, was also arrested.
In his possession were found a handcrafted revolver and another industrially manufactured one, as well as cartridges.
In another action by law enforcement, the authorities searched a farm in a rural area near Esmeraldas, which apparently served as a hideout for “terrorists” also considered high value.
Several firearms were found on the property and a sanctuary of Santa Muerte was “destroyed,” a supernatural entity worshiped in several countries and considered diabolical by some religions.
This Thursday, the Armed Forces of Ecuador reported the capture of alias ‘Chiquito’, leader of the Tiguerones gang.
The criminal leader was arrested in the Blessing of God citadel, in the province of Esmeraldas, following an armed confrontation between military personnel and “terrorists.”
The recent arrests have occurred in the context of the state of emergency declared by the Government in the face of the security crisis and violence in prisons.
In Winchele, a search was carried out in the farms surrounding the sector, where terrorists considered high-value targets are hiding. In the place, 6 shotguns, 2 revolvers, 1 pistol, 14 ammunition were seized, and a sanctuary of the Holy Death was destroyed. . pic.twitter.com/B4t5gmKYdl
