high tension. But Kiev denies –

The Belarusian Defense Ministry has released images of tanks being deployed along the country’s border with Ukraine, a day after President Alexander Lukashenko ordered increased reinforcements following alleged violations of airspace by Ukrainian drones. The vehicles will be positioned in Gomel and Mozyr, in the south of the country. The move is also a response to the Ukrainian offensive on Russian territory, in the Kursk region, which has been going on for days now. Threatening messages had arrived from Minsk not only to Kiev but also to the West: the war now risks reaching the EU countries.

However, the Ukrainian side denies any troop movements. Kiev does not detect any additional Belarusian troops deployed on the border, despite Minsk’s claims that it wants to strengthen border control. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, responding to the statement by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who, after reports of several Ukrainian drones shot down in Belarus two days ago, yesterday ordered the deployment of reinforcements to the border areas near Ukraine.
