The video shows a truck driving the wrong way and doing so for several miles. A policeman observes the maneuver and follows him, but at one point the driver of the truck joins the same lane as the patrol car; so the chase continues for several minutes, before he goes off the road, without stopping. Later he seeks to escape, finds a shortcut across the land, but does not go very far, as the road ends nearby.
The description that seems to be taken from a movie script narrates what happened in Texas where a Florida resident identified as Eduardo Aradas apparently did not stop when told to do so following a traffic violation.
The images were recorded by the camera of a patrol car and show the truck traveling at 85 miles per hour, in the opposite direction, on a busy highway.
Another 12 people were traveling in the truck and following being arrested in a matter of minutes, reinforcement police officers arrived. Some immigrants tried to escape but the officers managed to hold them and all were taken into custody.
The 12 migrants are in the custody of the border patrol. While Aradas told the police that he was heading towards San Antonio. He now faces various state criminal charges for smuggling and evasion and might face up to 11 years in prison if convicted.
