An accident occurred in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, where a Porsche vehicle crashed into a cafe located in a commercial building.
According to the police and fire authorities on the 13th, at around 10:45 p.m. the previous day, a Porsche car belonging to a man in his 40s, Mr. A, broke the glass of a cafe and entered the cafe in Janghang-dong, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si.
Two people, an employee and a customer, who were inside the cafe at the time did not collide with the vehicle, but were shocked and taken to the hospital.
When the police conducted a breathalyzer test on Mr. A, it was confirmed that he was not drunk driving.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, “I think the car suddenly accelerated the moment I was trying to pay for parking in the parking lot across from the cafe.”
The police plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident, including requesting the accident recording device (EDR) installed in the vehicle to the National Institute of Forensic Science.
