2022 recorded 127 deaths and 2033 injuries
Abu Dhabi: According to the report of the Ministry of Interior, the majority of car accidents occur in the evenings in the UAE. The 2022 report has now been released. The report reveals that evenings are the most dangerous time, with 127 deaths and 2,033 injuries recorded last year. Afternoon hours are almost safer for vehicle users.
Also, in 2022, more vehicle accidents were recorded on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Accidental deaths have decreased compared to previous years, but injuries and traffic accidents have also increased. According to Road Safety Data 2022, out of 343 deaths in road accidents, 55 occurred on Saturday and 55 on Sunday. 32 percent of the 5,045 injured in accidents occurred on Saturdays and Sundays. The figure is 818 on Saturday and 796 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Fridays in 2022 saw 52 deaths and 739 injuries. Monday saw 39 deaths and 657 injuries.
