Definitely, manganese from Morocco is popular with industrialists. In a statement published this Thursday, July 6, 2023, the Canadian mining company Elcora Advanced Materials Corp announces that it has received two new orders of 1,500 metric tons of manganese ore, with a grade of 37% and of high quality. Orders that should be delivered by the end of July 2023.
“We are delighted to receive these new manganese ore orders from new customers. This order underscores our commitment to providing high quality materials, and we are honored to be a trusted supplier to our customers,” said Troy Grant, CEO of Elcora.
The Canadian mining company had announced on June 20, the delivery of its first order of 500 tons of high quality manganese, with a content of 37%, from Morocco, without revealing the identity of its client.
New orders expected
As a reminder, the company has obtained, since March 2023, a manganese production license in the 16 km² mining concession of Atlas Fox Deposit, in the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region, through its Moroccan subsidiary Ermazon SARL.
This authorization allows it to extract, process and sell the ore from this deposit, whose production capacity is estimated at around 2,500 tonnes per month. The company also has from another manganese concession with an area of 16 km² in the Kingdom.

Elcora is very optimistic regarding the flow of its manganese production. “We are confident that these orders will mark the beginning of a long-term partnership with these new customers, and we anticipate further orders in the future,” says Troy Grant.
Rightly so. Indeed, the demand for this essential mineral in the manufacture of batteries for electric vehicles should increase considerably in the coming years, in this context marked by the transition to green mobility.
