The comedy sci-fi game from Squanch Games studio is not only the most popular game on Game Pass right now, but it is also the game whose release has made the most waves on Microsoft’s platform in 2022. In addition, it broke the record for the game coming from a third most downloaded party when it was released on Game Pass. Finally, it is also the most played single player adventure, according to the number of hours, five days after its launch. Not nothing for the new project of Justin Roiland, best known for his work on the series Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites.

Those numbers were calculated last Monday, as the new game outpaced huge Game Pass release competitors like Minecraft, FIFA 22, Rainbow Six Siege, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. These are impressive records for High On Life, an independently published game on Microsoft’s platform. However, we must take into consideration that the game was released in December when the competition is rather weak and that High On Life is only available on Game Pass and PC which makes the game a Microsoft exclusive on the console side.

Mostly positive reviews

High On Life reviews are pretty glowing so far, the game is rated 9/10 on Steam and 7.7/10 on Metacritic. The gameplay is supposedly fun, and the sometimes ridiculous humor of the story will delight fans of Justin Roiland’s work. We therefore strongly recommend that you take a look at it if you are a Game Pass subscriber. You will be able to play it for free while the game sells for between $60 and $70 on other PC platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
