The meeting between President Xi Jinping and U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Brinken, which turned back and forth between whether to meet or not, was realized for only 30 minutes on the followingnoon of June 19.

In the handshake at the first photo shoot, Xi had a bloated expression and no smile. When the shooting was over, a man in charge rushed over from the right and respectfully pulled out the central “emperor’s seat” where Xi sat.
President Xi sits down with an expressionless face. As for Secretary of State Brinken, he quickly sat down on the “Minister’s Seat” on the lower left hand side.
From there, President Xi Jinping’s “single performance” began. Secretary of State Brinken listens in awe, his hands on his knees.
