High Demand for Flights to Kaliningrad: Increased Airfare and Subsidized Tickets

According to the Aviasales service, from August 7 to 9, the cheapest ticket to Moscow without luggage costs 18 thousand rubles. From August 14 to August 17, you can fly to Kaliningrad from the capital for 31,400 rubles, and on the 20th, the cost of the flight will be 35,400 rubles. Alikhanov noted that carriers are introducing additional flights to meet demand.

“Plus, there are subsidized tickets for various categories, including pensioners, students and others,” the governor added.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of the Kaliningrad Region noted that they plan to allocate additional funds from the federal budget to subsidize air travel from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Kaliningrad and back.

“It is difficult to say exactly when subsidized tickets will go on sale, but you can track the information yourself in special sections on the websites of air carriers,” the department added.
