Many people do not know the importance of having flax seeds in their daily lives. These seeds have many benefits for the body. In this article, we will put in your hands the benefits of flax seeds.
1- Rich in Omega 3
If you are a vegetarian, you can replace fish with flax seeds, as it contains large amounts of omega 3. These seeds also prevent the deposition of cholesterol in the blood vessels of the heart and reduce arterial inflammation.
2- Rich in fatty acids
ALA is a type of essential fatty acid that the body does not produce. This acid reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke and heart disease in general.
3- It contains dietary fiber
Just one tablespoon of whole flaxseeds contains 3 grams of fiber, which is 8-12% of the recommended daily intake for men and women, respectively.
Fiber promotes regular bowel movement, prevents constipation, especially for those with irritable bowel syndrome or diverticulosis, and helps regulate blood sugar and lower cholesterol.
4- An important source of peels
Lignans are plant compounds with antioxidant properties that reduce the risk of cancer and improve health. Interestingly, flaxseeds contain up to 800 times more lignans than other plant foods. Some studies have also shown that flaxseeds have the ability to prevent colon and skin cancer.
