Meeting on July 27, 2022, the Board of Directors of Banque de Tunisie appointed Hichem Rebai, until then Managing Director of BH Bank, to the position of Managing Director of the institution. He succeeds Habib Ben Saad, who is retiring.
The appointment of the boss of BH Bank – which he has been leading for almost 3 years – as head of BT should take effect from 1 October. Until then, he will remain in his current position, also awaiting the announcement of the identity of his successor by the Tunisian authorities.
Founded in 1884, Banque de Tunisie is one of the oldest banks in Africa. In the 2nd quarter of 2022, its net banking income reached 204.4 million dinars (65 million USD), an annual increase of 10%.
