Hicham Seffa appointed Chairman of the Management Board of BMCI

The Supervisory Board of the Moroccan Bank for Trade and Industry (BMCI) has announced the appointment of Hicham Seffa as Chairman of the Board of BMCI.

“The BMCI Supervisory Board, meeting under the residence of Jaouad Hamri, has appointed Hicham Seffa as Chairman of the Management Board of BMCI to replace Philippe Dumel, called to take up new positions within the BNP Paribas Group”, indicates the bank’s Supervisory Board in a press release.

Welcoming the quality of the work carried out by Mr. Dumel during his term of office, the Board underlined that, under his impetus, an ambitious strategic plan for 2024 was launched, aimed at completing the replacement of the information system, accelerating digitalization and drive a new cycle of development.

The Board also noted with satisfaction the development of BMCI’s activities over the past year, thus consolidating its position in the Moroccan financial landscape.

Mr. Seffa will take up his new duties from March 1, 2023, concludes the same source.
