Israeli media commented on the incident of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the border fence near Metulla, saying that this is an “elevation” of Hezbollah’s provocations.

The Lebanese borders with occupied Palestine are witnessing escalating tensions due to the continuous Israeli violations in the area

Israeli media reported today, Sunday, that “the throwing of a Molotov cocktail by a Hezbollah activist” at the border fence near Metulla is “a step-up in Hezbollah’s provocations.”

In the details, the Kan channel correspondent in the north, Robbie Hammarschlag, said that “a Hezbollah activist riding a motorcycle threw a Molotov cocktail at the border fence, but it did not ignite, while it caused damage to the infrastructure of the fence.”

The reporter added, “The launcher of the Molotov cocktail then fled, while the army forces did not succeed in responding in time.”

Hammarschlag added, “It seems that Hezbollah activists were not affected by the threats of Security Minister Yoav Gallant, who visited the Shebaa Farms last week and threatened to turn Lebanon back into the stone age.”

In the context, the Israeli media saw that “Hezbollah is turning the border line into an active confrontation line with constant friction.”

Several Israeli media outlets discussed what they considered the state of “tension in the north” and the possibility of a war with Hezbollah, stressing that the occupation entity would suffer a catastrophic situation in any war with Hezbollah, and that the threats of the Israeli Minister of Security, Yoav Gallant, are considered “ridiculous” to the Secretary-General. For Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The lieutenant colonel in the Israeli reserve, and expert on Arab affairs, Alon Avitar, told the Israeli “Channel 13” that Sayyed Nasrallah is “not confused” and that he believes that the Israeli reality is “fragile, and the internal rift is widening,” noting that the Israeli rift “constitutes An opportunity” for Sayyed Nasrallah.

In turn, Major General in the Israeli reserves, and expert in national security affairs, Kobi Marom, saw that Gallant’s threats to Lebanon are “empty,” and said that “when you threaten the second party militarily, this threat must be reliable, but the threats are empty, and Israel adopts containment.” .

The Lebanese borders with occupied Palestine are witnessing escalating tensions, due to the continuous Israeli violations of the area. Last June, the Lebanese from the occupied “Kfar Shuba” hills removed barbed wire placed by the Israeli occupation, and filled a tunnel that it built in the area.

Tensions rose between Lebanon and the Israeli occupation, following the latter violated, last July, the northern part of the border town of Ghajar, by taking dangerous measures, represented by the construction of a barbed fence and the construction of a concrete wall around the entire town, similar to what it is doing at The border between Lebanon and occupied Palestine.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah – responded quickly to this, by setting up two tents inside the Shebaa Farms areas, in the face of Israeli provocations and violations at the Lebanese border.

This was preceded by Lebanese youths destroying surveillance cameras, which the occupation had installed over the separating fence at Fatima Gate.

The Israeli fear of the growing military capabilities of Hezbollah, the fear of any ongoing war, and the lack of “Israel”‘s readiness for it in light of its successive internal crises, is increasing, which is highlighted by the Israeli media remarkably.

On an almost daily basis, the Israeli occupation deals with this issue, as Israeli media outlets have warned of surprises that Hezbollah is preparing for “Israel”.

Against the background of the alert in the north, Brigadier General Uri Agmon of the “Israel Security Commanders” organization said that the current situation “reminds us of the feeling that prevailed before the Yom Kippur War” (October 1973 war).

Earlier, the military commentator on the Israeli “Channel 13”, Alon Ben David, said that the scene, which documented a number of Hezbollah members walking at the Lebanese-Palestinian border, “raises tension and reminds of 2006.” He added, “This is exactly what happened to us on the eve of the kidnapping of the two prisoners in 2006.”
