HEZBULLAH said it will accept Hamas’ ceasefire decision, comply with the ceasefire.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said his group would accept Hamas’ decision on Gaza ceasefire negotiations and would stop cross-border attacks on Israel if a truce is reached.

Hezbollah has been trading near-daily fire with Israeli forces since October 7, sparking fears of a full-blown conflict.

“Hamas is negotiating … on behalf of the entire axis of resistance,” Nasrallah said, referring to regional pro-Iran groups opposed to Israel and the United States.

“Whatever Hamas accepts, everyone accepts and is satisfied with it,” he said, adding, “We are not asking for [Hamas] to coordinate with us because the battle is theirs first.”

Nasrallah’s remarks came days following he met a Hamas delegation led by foreign relations chief Khalil al-Hayya, and as talks were set to resume in Qatar towards a ceasefire deal and the release of hostages in the Gaza war, now entering its 10th month.

Nasrallah reiterated his position that “if a ceasefire is reached, and we all hope for it… our fronts will cease fire without discussion.”

“It is a commitment, because it is a support front and we have been clear [tentang ini] from the beginning,” he said, during a televised speech to commemorate a senior Hezbollah commander killed in an Israeli strike last week.

However, Nasrallah warned that “we will never allow any attack that the Israeli enemy may carry out once morest Lebanon.” [bahkan] if there is a ceasefire in Gaza.” (Al Jazeera/Z-3)
