Hezbollah: We respect Resolution 1701, and we have a relationship of cooperation and coordination with UNIFIL – Al-Binaa Newspaper

Mustafa Al-Hamoud
Hezbollah affirmed that it has a stable and continuous relationship of cooperation and coordination with the international emergency forces operating in the south, UNIFIL, because it respects Resolution 1701. He believed that “there is no other way to bring positions between the Lebanese together except through dialogue,” considering that “at least it is possible to bet on Dialogue in order to open a gap in the wall of presidential merit ».
In this context, Representative Dr. Ali Fayyad regretted that the Lebanese were unable to complete the presidential election in 2022, hoping that “the beginning of the year 2023 will witness the beginnings of the ability to complete the presidential election, given its importance.”
During his sponsorship of the launching ceremony of the “Green on the Borders 2023” campaign in the southern town of Majdal Selm, he said, “Some have missed the opportunity for dialogue under various conditions and pretexts, and we believe that despite the difficult circumstances surrounding dialogue, there is no other way to bring positions between The Lebanese are only through dialogue, and at least it is possible to wager on dialogue in order to open a gap in the wall of the presidential election, the achievement of which must be self-evident and natural, because the interest of the country requires that, and because the constitutional duty assumes that, and because there are a thousand and one reasons that push towards expediting the completion of this election ». .
He pointed out that «when the demarcation of the maritime borders was completed, we considered this matter to be a great achievement, and it is, but this matter is not sufficient because we are on the verge of managing oil and gas investments in the sea, and this matter requires the presence of a government full of powers, and it will not be possible for a new government to be formed. Unless the presidential election is accomplished.
For his part, Representative Hassan Ezz El-Din stressed, during a memorial ceremony in the town of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, that “the resistance achieved liberation once morest the Zionist enemy and prevented it from achieving its expansionist goals, so it destroyed the dream of “Greater Israel.” Then, in the July war, it destroyed its project to build “Greater Israel.” Thus, this resistance has put this enemy back behind the walls that he built with his own hands to retreat behind them, and this indicates that this enemy is not safe for his survival and is not reassured of his existence, and he knows with certainty that he is inevitably fleeting.
He pointed out that “this resistance, which achieved equations in deterring the enemy, has formed the pillar of strength and might for Lebanon, and has resulted in a historic achievement and a great victory, enabling it to extract its rights and wealth on land and at sea from gas and oil, as soon as the resistance declares a position in which it threatens this enemy to deter it from its ambitions in these rights.”
And a member of the Central Council of Hezbollah, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, said during a memorial ceremony in the southern town of Kafra, “The group of the logic of challenge and confrontation has entered the country into a dark tunnel, and there is no way out of it except by consensus, and as for those who are waiting for outside mediation, they are waiting for the most distant solution, especially That these mediations are shy and still fall short of producing a solution to the crisis of electing a president for the republic.
He made it clear that “Hezbollah does not bet on external mediation, and it calls for internal consensus,” stressing that “between Hezbollah and the International Emergency Forces there is a relationship of cooperation and coordination, and this relationship is stable and continuous, because Hezbollah respects Resolution 1701.”
He pointed out that “what enemy Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fears most is confrontation with Hezbollah, and this is the reason for his retreat from his threats to reject the demarcation agreement.”
