The Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it had targeted the Israeli site of Birkat Risha and the surrounding soldiers’ gathering places on the southern Lebanese border, and had targeted the Israeli site of Al-Marj twice, adding that it had achieved direct hits in the targeted sites.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that the occupation forces bombed the vicinity of border towns in southern Lebanon following Israeli positions were bombed.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the Israeli bombing of the border towns did not result in any casualties.

The agency explained that the Israeli drones carried out raids on the town of Aita al-Shaab, and on an empty house on the outskirts of the town of Blida and around the football field on the western outskirts of the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon.

For its part, the Israeli army said that its planes bombed a number of Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanese territory in response to the bombing of its sites, and it did not announce whether its soldiers were injured in the bombing that targeted them.

Today, Beirut announced the killing of Lebanese civilians and the injury of others in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the border town of Ainatha on Monday, while the Israeli army said that the raid targeted Hezbollah fighters who opened fire on Israeli positions.

Since last October 8, the Lebanese-Israeli border has witnessed daily mutual bombardment between the Israeli occupation army on the one hand and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon on the other, leaving dead and wounded on both sides of the border.
