Just days after a ceasefire was declared, Israeli occupation forces are engaged in repeated violations, raising tensions and alarming residents in southern Lebanon. Reports from the region paint a grim picture of ongoing hostility despite the purported truce.
The Lebanese Army confirmed multiple breaches of the ceasefire, which came into effect on November 27. Hezbollah, the powerful Lebanese movement, has been closely monitoring the situation, refraining from retaliatory action despite numerous provocations.
Tensions began to escalate almost immediately.
Israel‘s military advanced toward the eastern outskirts of the village of Aitaroun, briefly besieging a family who had recently returned to their home. The move, though brief, sent shockwaves through the community, triggering fear and uncertainty.
Furthermore, Israeli drones targeted a parked vehicle in Majdal Zoun, injuring three people, including a seven-year-old child. The brazen daytime attack sparked widespread condemnation, underscoring the precariousness of the situation.

Shelling and machine-gun fire have plagued various locations throughout southern Lebanon, causing widespread destruction and instilling a suffocating sense of vulnerability. These areas are thoroughly monitored by Hezbollah, who have chosen a path of restraint despite feeling justified to respond.
Adding to the escalating tension, reconnaissance and drone activity hovered over villages in both western and central sectors. An explosion rocked the Tibna area, situated between Teffehta and al-Baysarieh, further highlighting the urgency for a lasting and broadly respected truce.
