Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” group, responded, on Friday, to accusing his group of dealing with drug dealers to smuggle “Captagon” to Arab countries, describing these accusations as “false” and considering that if it were not for “Hezbollah’s role” when the Lebanese government was able to confront drug traffickers.

Nasrallah said in a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the killing of Mustafa Badr al-Din: “With every incident that takes place, Hezbollah is accused of the Captagon trade, and all of that is lies, treason and lack of morals.”

And the Secretary-General of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” added, “Our legitimate and jihadist position rejects the use of drug smugglers to transport the weapons of the resistance.”

Nasrallah added, “Without Hezbollah’s assistance, the Lebanese authorities would not have been able to confront a number of drug dealers in Lebanon.”

And the media linked “Hezbollah” to the drug smuggler, Marai Al-Ramthan, who was killed in a Hawiyeh raid in southern Syria a few days ago, and Hezbollah is accused of being the main responsible for smuggling “Captagon” pills to a number of Arab countries via Syria.

And the Secretary-General of “Hezbollah” considered that the file of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon is not resolved “on social media.”

And Nasrallah added: “Hezbollah does not occupy homes or villages and does not prevent anyone from returning to the Syrian border villages,” according to his claim.

Regarding Syria’s return to the Arab League, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah said: “President Bashar al-Assad’s invitation to the Arab League is a very important step, and I say that Syria has remained in its place and has not changed its position.”
