Two people were killed today, Saturday, in an Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah targeted gatherings of occupation forces near the border as part of the ongoing confrontations between the two parties for months.
The Civil Defense in southern Lebanon said that “the two people were martyred” as a result of an Israeli bombing of a car in the town of Al-Bazouriyah in the Tire region.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that an Israeli drone bombed the car as it passed through the town of Al-Bazuria, causing it to burn completely, noting that ambulance teams transported the two bodies to the hospital.
For its part, Archyde.com quoted 3 security sources in Lebanon that the two people targeted by the Israeli march were members of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
Israel recently carried out similar operations, one of which resulted in the killing of Wissam Tawil, a leader in Hezbollah’s Dhawan unit.
Those targeted also included members of Palestinian factions, including the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement.

Targeting occupation gatherings
Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced that its fighters targeted, on Saturday, a gathering of occupation soldiers in the vicinity of the Al-Dhahira site, causing injuries. He added that they attacked two other gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of Hunin Castle and Zarit Barracks.
On the other hand, the Israeli army spokesman said that on Saturday, warplanes carried out raids on infrastructure and a Hezbollah reconnaissance site in the Al-Adisseh area in southern Lebanon.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that the outskirts of the town of Al-Adisa were subjected to two Israeli raids, and said that Israeli artillery also bombed the surroundings of the towns of Yaroun, Aitaroun, and the Marjayoun Plain.
Yesterday, Friday, Israeli fighter jets launched 16 raids on southern Lebanon, targeting the vicinity of the towns of Ramia, Al-Adisa, Kafr Kila, Aitaroun, and the Jabal Balat area.
As the cross-border clashes continued, Tel Aviv and Hezbollah exchanged threats to expand the scope of the confrontation that began shortly following the Palestinian resistance launched the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle on October 7th.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said on Friday that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government warned in a letter to Washington that it would carry out military action in Lebanon if Hezbollah’s Radwan Force was not removed from the border. The Washington Post also reported that Israel threatened to escalate the fighting once morest Hezbollah if Hezbollah was not removed. An agreement will be reached within weeks that will remove the party’s fighters from the border and allow the return of Israelis who were displaced from the settlements in the north.
On the other hand, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, warned that Israel would receive the answer “with a big slap and strong action” if it expanded its aggression, as he put it.
The confrontations between Hezbollah and Israel over more than 3 months resulted in dozens of deaths on both sides, raising fears of the expansion of the conflict in the region.
