The administration of the Lebanese University Hospital Geitaoui clarified, in a statement today, the circumstances of the death of the young Dr.
She said: “The patient, Dr. G., was received in the hospital emergency immediately upon his arrival via an ambulance at nine in the evening, and his injuries were very serious, as he had an accident at six in the morning, resulting in second and third degree burns that exceed 75% of the body area (the face). neck, limbs, abdomen…), in addition to a broken hip and separate wounds to the head and face.When he arrived, his clinical condition was very dangerous: difficulty breathing gasping, a drop in oxygen level below 50% (saturation O2), and a heart rate of 47/min. (Bradycardie) Upon his arrival, he developed cardiac and respiratory arrest (Arrêt cardio respiratoire), so the medical and nursing team resuscitated him by all necessary means, but he died despite all medical efforts.”
And she concluded: “As the hospital administration extends its deepest condolences to his family, with its great understanding of their injuries, it asks the media and those responsible for the media to be accurate in recounting the facts and verifying the information from the competent references before publishing it.”
