Heung-min Son (29, Tottenham), who became the top scorer in the English Premier League (EPL), returned to gold with the ‘Golden Boot’, the top scorer trophy. Son Heung-min scored 23 goals without penalty kicks (PK) in 35 EPL matches in the 2021-22 season and tied for the top scorer with Mohammad Salah (Liverpool). This is the first time for an Asian player to become the top scorer in the top five European football leagues (England, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy).
