The bad weather that hit the Valencia region scares all of Europe. However, according to Paolo Sottocorona, those devastating phenomena are not destined to reach Italy. “The situation is better. There are thunderstorms again in the Valencia area, but the center of that low pressure is moving away. You can see this spiral, which was very present yesterday”, he explained live from the Omnibus studio and pointing to the area in question on the map. “The discussions on what happened and why? 10% of what was said would be enough: definitions of nothingness were given, strange phenomena were invented”, he wanted to specify.
What should we expect in Italy? Today the presence of “some clouds” will be found “in Sardinia, Sicily and partly in Puglia”. “Very similar” situation tomorrow. With one difference, however: “Some clouds also arrive in the Tyrrhenian areas. In Sardinia there will be some very light rain, some intense phenomena in the South-West”, he explained. Saturday, no clear change of pace and a persistent atmospheric balance. “The situation will be stable,” he reiterated. As for minimum temperatures, “they will drop a little, but they will remain above average”, he concluded.

**Interview with Paolo Sottocorona on Valencia’s Weather Conditions**
**Editor:** Welcome, Paolo. Thank you for joining us today. We’ve been following the weather reports coming out of Valencia, where forecasters are predicting overcast skies transitioning to drizzle later in the day. What can you tell us about the current situation?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Thank you for having me. Yes, the weather in Valencia has been quite tumultuous recently. While we see overcast conditions today with a maximum temperature expected around 19 degrees Celsius, the real concern has been the thunderstorms that have affected the area. However, I want to reassure everyone that the center of that low-pressure system is moving away, which is a positive sign for the region.
**Editor:** That’s interesting! How do you think this weather pattern could impact the greater European region, specifically Italy?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** The good news for Italy is that we are not expecting to be hit by the same severe weather as Valencia. As this low-pressure system continues to spiral away, Italy should see relatively stable weather. The thunderstorms in Valencia are localized, and with the system moving out, we can expect clear skies over the next few days.
**Editor:** That’s a relief. What advice would you give to residents and travelers in Valencia amidst this changing weather?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** I would advise everyone to stay updated with local forecasts, as weather can change unexpectedly. If you’re planning to be outdoors, it’s best to have an umbrella handy for light drizzle, and to stay indoors during any thunderstorms. Safety should always come first.
**Editor:** Thank you for your insights, Paolo. It’s reassuring to know that the situation is improving and that Italy is less affected. Stay safe out there!
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Thank you! Always a pleasure to share information, and I hope everyone stays safe and dry.
