On the eve of the first leg of the quarter-finals of the southern regional phase of the Copa Chile, in which Ñublense will face Rangers, this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., at the Fiscal stadium in Talca, the club announced the departure of two players.
They are the Argentine forward, Emanuel Herrera, and the young attacker, belonging to Palestino, Benjamín Araneda.
Both decided to leave the Chillán team early, where they were unable to establish themselves as reinforcements and have the continuity they desired.
Herrera, who was managed by Mario Salas in Peruvian football, was unable to live up to his goalscoring credentials and was relegated to the bench. When he came on, his lack of competitive rhythm and lack of goalscoring became evident. That is why, following a “mutual agreement”, he left Ñublense.
In the case of Araneda, who was called up to the Chilean U-20 team and was preceded by his past as a goalscorer in the Palestino youth teams, he did not have the opportunities he expected in attack and decided to end his loan early.
Neither of them will be substitutes for the match this Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m., once morest Rangers for the Chilean Cup.
Ñublense hopes to strike the first blow at the Talca stadium with a team that would be closer to the title holder.
The return match and final match of the tie will be played on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. at the Nelson Oyarzún Arenas stadium in Chillán.
