Heroic Pitbull Protects Woman From Angry Mob in Taxco, Guerrero

In Taxco, Guerrero, dozens of residents decided to take justice into their own hands and They lynched a woman and two men accused of the kidnapping and murder of Camila, an eight-year-old girl. In addition to the seriousness surrounding the case in general, one matter in particular caught the attention of hundreds of users on social networks. During the events, the pet of the accused family tried to defend its owner, identified as Ana Rosa ‘N’, but he might do little before neighbors in the area removed him from the scene and made him safe.

The events occurred during the followingnoon of Thursday, March 28 in the La Florida neighborhood of Taxco. According to the chronology of the events, the family of little Camila identified the family of Ana Rosa ‘N’ as responsible for the deprivation of liberty and murder of the minor, so security elements of the municipality protected the housing awaiting the corresponding arrest warrants.

However, around 1:00 p.m., a crowd of Taxco residents, fed up with the violence and lack of action by the authorities, decided to enter the home, where they found the three adults identified as responsible and a teenager, who They asked him not to intervene.

Despite the presence of the authorities, the angry crowd took the three individuals out of the building and, separately, began to beat them with sticks, bottles and other objects. That’s when the pet came to the woman’s defense.

The puppy’s participation in the events was disseminated through social networks by Abogado Animalista, a page that promotes animal rights in Mexico. Through X, formerly Twitter, the account asked Taxco activists for help to save the animal.

“Attention activists from Taxco, Guerrero. Today they lynched an alleged infanticide, the neighbors took her out of her house, there she had a malnourished dog that despite everything, in her innocence and loyalty, tried to defend the lady. The neighbors removed him, his situation is unknown,” he reported.

However, a few minutes later, local residents reported that the crowd did not harm the dog. In some of the published photographs you can see a man with a black cap taking the dog away from its owner and leaving the place.

Later, an X user shared videos in which he can be seen being treated by a veterinary doctor. The first diagnosis resulted in the presence of several tumors and malnutrition.

“The dog is already receiving medical attention at a veterinarian in Taxco (…) and a new home is being searched for,” he reported, in addition to mentioning that a ‘donor’ is taking care of all expenses.

In this regard, dozens of users thanked the people who saved the dog, who, as can be seen in one of the videos broadcast, was injured in the right paw during the attack on its owners.

“The band was supportive in every aspect. They went to do justice to those disgusting living beings, but without harming the dog and that is excellent. Now he is even being cared for and I hope he finds shelter,” commented an X user.

“The loyalty and innocence of a dog is the purest and most real thing for humans”, “It’s good that they didn’t do anything to the little dog” and “Poor thing, despite the obvious carelessness he still wanted to defend her. There is certainly a lot to learn from the loyalty of those four-legged angels,” others added.

On March 27, at 1:00 p.m., the disappearance of Camila Gómez, an eight-year-old girl, last seen in her Taxco neighborhood, dressed in pajamas and a Mickey Mouse t-shirt, was reported missing.

The minor was going to a neighbor’s house to play in an inflatable pool, as agreed with her mother. However, when she went to look for her, she was informed that the girl allegedly never arrived.

Shortly following, the concern of Camila’s family intensified following receiving extortion calls, which demanded 250 thousand pesos for her release.

These actions cast doubt on the version of Ana Rosa ‘N’, the owner of the house where Camila had asked permission to go play with her friend, and raised suspicions regarding her involvement in the disappearance of the minor. The support of security video images from a nearby business provided crucial evidence, showing the little girl entering the gated area where the home is located.

Additional visual evidence captured Ana Rosa ‘N’ and a man leaving the property with a can of dirty clothes and a black bag, sparking speculation as to whether Camila might have been transported in one of these containers. They both got into a local taxi and left the place.

During the same Wednesday followingnoon, the taxi driver who was identified on the security cameras was arrested and taken to the Public Ministry, where he confessed to the facts.

Camila’s body was finally located during the early hours of Thursday in the weeds at kilometer 110 of the Taxco-Cuernavaca highway, so relatives, acquaintances and neighbors in the area are asking for justice for the minor.
